Election Results are in!

The election results are in, and we would like to officially welcome Tiffany Annette Hopkins, who will serve as the new Director of Membership.

We also want to thank Mariya Kontsepolskaya, the outgoing Director of Membership, for serving on the board, for her dedication to the AATIA, and for all her work behind the scenes. Both on a professional and personal level, we are very grateful for the time we spent together with her during board and general meetings. We will certainly miss her, her ideas, and her sense of humor. We wish her the best of luck on her new journey.

Amendment to the Bylaws

The amendment to Article III, Section B, of the bylaws to add an additional membership class has passed. The purpose of the bylaws amendment was to expand the membership base as well as stay competitive and align AATIA’s membership categories with some of our affiliate organizations. In accordance with Section D of the bylaws, the Board of Directors reserves the right to establish the annual dues for all classes of membership.

The new membership class available is:

Student: An individual who is currently enrolled in translating, interpreting or related studies on a full-time/part-time basis. Proof of current enrollment will be required.
