Join us on Oct. 12th for our next bimonthly meeting

Join us on Saturday, October 12th, 2024, for our next general meeting. We’ll explore the world of artificial intelligence (AI) and translation with Joanne Kim, an English-to-Korean localization specialist from Seoul. Joanne will be visiting the US in October, and we’re happy that she’s accepted our invitation to present on the topic “The generation of AI is here… Are we really in trouble?”

We’ll delve into questions such as “What unique skills and qualities do human translators bring to the table that AI can’t replicate? Are there specific niches or areas within localization where human translators still have a significant advantage? Join the conversation to gain insights and discover how you can thrive as a translator in this ever-evolving industry.

This meeting is free and open to members and non-members alike! Anyone with an interest in the translation/interpretation profession and/or AI is welcome to attend.

We’ll get started at 1 p.m. The meeting will be held at Aiden by Best Western Austin City Hotel (220 S I H 35, 78704 Austin – at the intersection of E. Oltorf and I-35.) Map
