Lemari/Stewart articles featured in ATA Chronicle

Kudos to AATIA members Marion Lemari and Jeffrey Stewart, who both had articles published in the September/October issue of the ATA Chronicle, the flagship publication of the American Translators Association (ATA).

In her article, “Thoughts on Medical Terminology Termbase Mapping and Term Storage,” Marion describes the benefits of creating termbases and shares her thoughts on how a well-designed termbase can make a translator’s job easier and improve translation accuracy, consistency and quality. Jeffrey’s article, “Be the B: Building a More Sustainable Future through B Certification,” explores how embracing a Certified B Corporation model can help language professionals future-proof their careers and generate positive social and environmental impact through their work.

Access to the ATA Chronicle is normally open only to ATA members, but with the kind permission of Jeff Sanfacon, ATA Chronicle editor, we are making these two articles available through the AATIA website.

ATA is a national professional association dedicated to promoting the recognition of professional translators and interpreters, establishing standards of competence and ethics, and advocating on behalf of the profession. AATIA is proud to be an affiliate group of ATA.
