Register now for JBCC-approved court interpreting webinars
AATIA will offer a series of three webinars, to be held on September 21st and September 28th, which will enable court interpreters licensed by the Texas Judicial Branch Certification Commission (JBCC) to earn a total of 8 continuing education hours, including 2 hours of ethics training. Translators certified by the American Translators Association (ATA) will earn up to 8 continuing education points.
Our topics this year will be:
- Researching Legal Terminology and Staying Up to Date with New Terminology that Impacts Legal Settings
- Conveying Meaning while Staying Faithful to Register and Accuracy
- Learning to View AI as a Tool, not as a Professional Threat
Although these webinars are intended mainly for court interpreters seeking to fulfill their JBCC continuing education requirement, they may also be useful for interpreters preparing to take the JBCC licensing exam or the federal court interpreter certification exam and for translators working in the legal field. The AI webinar may be of interest to any translators or interpreters who are curious about AI and how to use it in their work.
