Cost of ATA exam going up – register now for Austin sitting
The Board of Directors of the American Translators Association (ATA) decided at its January 2018 meeting to raise the cost of the ATA certification exam from $300 to $525 in order to bring the price of the exam into line with ATA certification program costs. The change will go into effect on January 1, 2019. ATA members may continue to take the exam for the current price of $300 until the end of 2018.
Exam sittings in 2018 are filling up fast, so anyone interested in taking the exam this year should register as soon as possible. In response to the anticipated increase in the number of candidates, we have moved our June 30th exam sitting in Austin to a larger room, so registration for the Austin sitting is once again open. If you have already registered for a sitting elsewhere, but would prefer to take the exam in Austin, contact ATA Certification Program Manager Caron Mason.
The full list of upcoming exam sittings is available on the ATA website, together with information about the exam and how to register to take it.
